I recently attended a “Dark & Moody” photography workshop hosted by Marco Ibanez ( @marcoibanezphoto ), featuring the incredibly talented model Sandra Cuadra ( @miss_boudoir_mn2 ). If you love bold shadows and moody aesthetic as much as I do, this was a masterclass in leveling up the creative toolkit.
We focused on four critical success areas:
Using available light effectively — shadows are not the enemy
Dynamic posing techniques to boost visual impact
Live shooting opportunities to test concepts in real-time
Portfolio-ready results — because content is king
Sandra delivered killer poses with efficiency and attitude, giving us everything from soft vulnerability to confident edge. Marco provided hands-on coaching that translated into immediate shot-level improvements.
I left with new skills, fresh images I’m proud to share, and a bigger appetite for bold, atmospheric storytelling.
